After winning a Gold Globe last night for his portrayal of Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen said the real thanks for his award belongs to his fiancee, actress Isla Fisher, who put up with him during the film's long shoot: "She agreed to sleep with Borat for 10 months."

Loose Ends
- It's the most anticipated day of 2007 (since we're only a couple of weeks in); the new season of American Idol starts tonight, and it looks like Paula Abdul started celebrating early. We're beginning to think that it's not soda in her American Idol Coca-Cola cup.
- Wait, there's more. If you love watching drunk, er, "exhausted" celebrities, then maybe you should tune in to Bravo's new series Hey Paula. TV just keeps getting better.
- Looks like Britney Spears can't stay away from the tribe. No, not Kabbalah. It's her new Jewish boyfriend. Maybe they met on Jdate...
- Sacha Baron Cohen won a Golden Globe (scroll down...) last night for best actor in a comedy. Meanwhile, rumors abound that he is avoiding publicity in order to remain inconspicuous for his next film.
- It's a new year."Throw the Jew Down the Well" is out, and "Pervy Jesus" is in, ready to offend most of the southern United States.

Borat on NPR
 Just when you thought we were done with Borat, NPR goes and airs a 45-minute interview with Sacha Baron Cohen (not in character as Borat, but as himself). In it, Cohen discusses what people were really thinking when he performed his infamous "Throw the Jew Down the Well" song, his thoughts on anti-Semitism, filming Talladega Nights in Alabama, breakdancing at his bar mitzvah, and just how much of an observant Jew he really is.
